MORGAN YOUNG
Morgan Young (b.1995) is a Los Angeles-based artist working in textile art and soft sculpture. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware and began her career in sustainable fashion before shifting her focus to material transformation. Her practice explores tactility and the subtle interplay between material, process, and intuition. She works with fabric and reclaimed textiles, using deadstock materials and incorporating zero-waste manufacturing techniques to create sculptural forms and wall pieces that emphasize texture, rhythm, and the inherent qualities of the materials.
Her work has been shown in various exhibitions and is held in private and corporate collections.
“My work transforms discarded textiles into wall reliefs through a repetitive process of fabric manipulation. These raw materials find new life as tactile works, and in the final step, are crafted from an intuitive rigor and rhythm that reflects a fresh start, a new chapter.“ M.Y.
